Is it possible to arrange a hybrid test instead of fully remote?
EnglishScore can be delivered as a hybrid test rather than as a fully remote test. In a hybrid test, the test takers use their mobile phones to take the test in a location of your choice (a classroom, for example) under the supervision of your own in-person proctors.
If you are planning to run EnglishScore as a hybrid test, contact the EnglishScore Test Operations team at partnersupport@englishscore.com to discuss your plans in advance of the test date. We will create a Connect Code specialised for a hybrid test session.
To ensure smooth test delivery, ensure that your test room meets the following requirements:
- The room must have a stable, high-speed internet connection.
- The room must be well-lit.
- All test takers should have individual desks.
- No one should be seated behind any test taker.
- No one should need to walk behind any test taker. Every test taker should have a path to the exit that does not pass behind another test taker.
- The proctor can easily monitor everyone.
It’s best to put as much distance as possible between the desks. This has the following benefits:
- Allowing test takers to get in and out comfortably, without walking behind anyone else
- Reducing visibility of other test takers’ phone screens
- Limiting distraction from other test takers, especially during speaking responses
Keep in mind that each test taker’s front-facing camera will be taking pictures throughout the test, and all other security systems within the EnglishScore app will also stay active.
