What is a Connect Code and how do I set one up for my test-takers?
The Connect Code is what connects your test-takers’ results to your dashboard. This allows you to review and certify their test results.
Every test administration period has a unique Connect Code that identifies it. The properties of each test administration (like its start date and end date) are associated with its Connect Code.
To set up a Connect Code, contact the Test Operations team at partnersupport@englishscore.com, who can create, edit or delete Connect Codes for you. You will need to provide details of your test administration as follows:
-
Test period
Please specify the start date and the end date of the testing schedule -
Assessment Type
Please inform us of the preferred assessment type for your testing period (e.g. Core Skills, Speaking, and/or Writing). Your Connect Code can only be used for the assessments you choose. -
Attempts per user
This is the maximum number of attempts allowed per user. An attempt is only used if the test-taker finishes the test. If the Connect Code is used for multiple assessment types (Core Skills plus Speaking and/or Writing), a user will have this number of attempts for each test. -
Additional ID prompt
If you want, you can require the test-taker to input an identifying number, like a student ID or employee ID. We work with Onfido to provide this. -
Email domain restriction
If you want, you can choose to only allow the Connect Code to be used by test-takers who registered their EnglishScore account with a particular email domain. This lets you limit the use of the Connect Code to email addresses provided by your organisation. -
Number of test takers
Please let us know how many test takers you expect to use this Connect Code. Please also tell us whether you expect a large number of users at any particular time within the testing window.
After receiving this information, we will then be able to process a Connect Code for your testing period. Please also let us know if you wish to edit your Connect Code.
